Very Store / Mail Order Account

Hello, I am in a bit of a financial mess and just starting to look at how I can dig myself out of it 🙈
I have a Very Store Card that I want to pay off first, as it has the highest interest rate. I owe around £490 on it. I have noticed that there are several late payment charges of £12 on the account. Do you think I can claim these back due to financial hardship?

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
