Ovo Direct Debit Calculations

Why do Ovo calculate your monthly minimum direct debit on being a month in credit after a 12 month cycle.Surely it should be calculated on just being in credit .

Just in case you use a bit more energy than you did last year - I'd prefer to have a month credit at the end of the year than be a month in debt.

If it's that much of an issue ask them to change it or go on variably monthly payments - but you'll have small bills in summer and big ones in winter ( depending on usage ).
  • A month in credit is excessive it seems to me.The last time I asked Ovo they said they didn't offer variable direct debits

But not to OVO, it seems.
Does your contract say anything about how much credit you need to keep on your account?

In which case, you need to decide whether to stay with OVO or switch to a different supplier.
