New BMW X1 shuddering

Good morning,
We purchased our new X1 a few months ago and after a few weeks noticed a juddering in low gears, especially when turning.
This juddering vibrates through the car and steering wheel.
It already been into the garage once for repairs and they advised the problem would most likely return in around 2k miles... So not really repaired?!. When I enquired if this was a common issue they advised they have had a few X1 cars in with the same issue recently.
The shuddering has once again reappeared and is dangerous. It even juddered when pulling out into traffic from a junction.
We have raised a complaint with the finance company and dealership and request to reject the car as per consumers right act. The dealership have taken the car back in but apparently cannot find any faults with the vehicle at all, despite them already repairing and advising it would return?!
Has anybody else had such issues?
Thanks

Exactly what was repaired?
How is juddering dangerous?0 -
They told us it was missing a software update so they did that then it failed so kept it in another day till the oil cooled to do further repairs. But they said it was a software issue.
It's dangerous as it judders in low gears and does it when pulling out of junctions. The steering wheel becomes still and movement of the car irratic.0 -
Sorry that should have said steering becomes stiff and it becomes erratic. Ie slow moving from the junction.0

What engine does it have, is it a diesel, petrol or hybrid?
Is the juddering lugging, stalling, something else?0 -
Mild hybrid petrol.
Yes it feels as if it's going to stall/ cannot find gear

Do you know what gear it is in when it happens? What happens if you put your foot down?0
-
I'm assuming 1 as it happens when pulling away. It tends to stop when you put your foot down and straighten the wheel. Or if you stop completely and try again0
-
It's a software issue what I would do is disconnect the battery or let it run completely flat. This is the equivalent of turning a computer off and on again. It sounds a cliche but actually solves most problems.0

All the tech info above doesn't matter. They've had 1 chance to fix it, its not fixed, and you're within 6 months. You can reject the car.1

"Turn it off and turn it on again".
Really? On a brand new £40k car?
Get it returned.1
