Bwlegal and British gas

Bwlegal have been sending demands to me for over £4000 for Scottish Gas / British Gas supplying gas between November 24 and September 23 to a flat I sold ten years ago. I left UK 15 years ago but let the flat until it’s sale in 2015.
They have been sent proof of ownership sale and final closing council bill but continue to chase this. The current owner is on the electoral roll and is known to have lived there since they refurbished it. What legal proceedings can we take at this point to stop the harassment?

Give them your foreign address for service of documents.0

Tell BWlegal that you don't owe the money as it's not your flat. Tell them to refer the matter back to British Gas.After that, don't engage with them in any way.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
