One company selling EVs here went bust almost as soon as stock arrived but the cars are selling very well at half price....

Because they were massively, massively overpriced to start with! (As in asking too much for what it is intrinsically worth)

A simplification, but one of the reasons for the death of our manufacturing industry is that you can get a product made in China, shipped half way round the World, pay import duties on it and still pay only half what it would cost to make here.

Just look at what you can buy on Aliexpress & eBay delivered to your door for less than you'd pay just for postage for an equivalent item in the UK.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

It can't be Fiskers as they're still trying to sell the stock they have left

Fisker filled for bankruptcy in 2024 and court approved their winding up in October... the US equivalent of an administrator/receiver will still have to flog off stock to maximise returns to the company's creditors and a lease firm bought the rights to the cloud software though they've since fallen out with the owners group and cut them off from the premium services as of May this year.

One factor to check when choosing a car, of any manufacturer brand or origin, is the safety rating.  That can sometimes be less enticing for showroom appeal than some of the more obvious style and features fitted.

Lots of    reviews    on You Tube - generally very good. High spec ,quality and cost.

Filling the gaps in markets abandoned by Ford etc -  no longer get Escort and Capri badly received.

    Drawback - limited main dealersship.

Lots of advertorials, check the trustworthy car journalists who declined to do the Jaecoo scripted review.  From memory their
terms and conditions said you were not allowed to say another car did something better or it had worse something than
another vehicle.  VERY restricted and they paid the reviewers.  Not sure if they had to pre-approve the reviews but that
could be found easily from the genuine reviewers.

Another issue is the NCAP ratings which skew the crash star ratings, instead of just being stars on the crash safety itself
they add stars because a car has sensors that warn you of dangers even when that supposedly safety feature sounds
alarms that could distract a driver. Check the actual crash data not just the scores.
