Thanks! That looks like fun, might be able to combine it with out visit to see Santa at Harrods, my girls would love it!

Shame about the Lapland UK thingy, looked really good until I almost choked at the prices!

why is this so much more expensive this year? I just checked and its £85 per person so £340 for a family of 4!! Seems a massive jump from last year.

Well on the site it says because everything is included this year, food, pressies for everyone etc but I'd much rather they gave you the option of a cheaper ticket with no food and just pressies for the kids.

    Part of the Furniture
Found out about LaplandUk too late to go last Christmas (fully booked  )

so I registered for this year, and received my priority booking code today ............

  Then I saw this years prices:eek:

 £85.00  per person  - for us to go this year would be £340.00:eek:

last year we could have gone (15th - 24th December) - for £137.50..:T

I'm sorry - but no way does a 2 course cooked meal for 2 adults and 2 children, and 'presents for everyone' make it worth an extra £200 a family - we could stay in a travel lodge and have a 3 course meal out for less than that.

I'm with Kelinik on this one - no compulsory food and just a present for the 'child' would have been a much better option - trouble is I was really looking forward to 'doing' Christmas this year:(

Shall have to see what's on elsewhere - London looks far better value now:o

  • How do you book tickets for this event?

We're booking it for this year - yes I've got more money than sense but its going to be part of the kids xmas pressie and there's no way we can ever afford the real lapland and the boys are only young once and all that. I do think its a massive rip off compared to last year though - they obviously had high demand and thought they'd ramp up the prices - shame on them- especially at xmas time! :(

Actually - on second thoughts we're not. Just read the reviews on tripadvisor and people are complaining at paying last years prices so cant see it being worth the price this year! May save up for the real lapland in 3/4 years time.

  • Dont know how local you people are to tamworth snowdome, but at winter time they have santa, real reindeer and you get to play in the snow aswell and you get a ride in santas sleigh

You can do sledging tubing etc and theres a bar which sells food at a good price, or theres starbucks, or 5 mins away theres a maccy D's KFC etc, just looked at the domes website and its not on their homepage yet,

Sadly, looking at that old price list and the new one they appear to have doubled (more in some cases). Not something we can afford this year.

I have just booked using a priority booking code and it was £260 for my family of 4 !! Where did you see these prices .......the tickets this year include food...apparently! (hope my 15 year old does not get a childs meal - ha ha!)

Edit...woops..did not notice essexgals post above...sorry!
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes ;)
