Which cordless vacuum cleaner, will consider corded again

We have three of them. The cylinder types are powerful but more cumbersome, and are used on
the stairs, which is the only part of the house with carpet.
Atm, we have a corded vacuum cleaner, it was cheap, it's ok, has a 7m cord IIRC. Had brill
reviews, but pretty useless but does pick up dust, daily dust easily, but not the odd bits.
Primarily, it is the real wooden floors we need for and these can easily scratch as mahogany colour, hardwood.
I've been looking for months at options for corded vs. cordless.
Corded, must be relatively lightweight, min cord lenght 6m, not too noisy but must have good suction and an easy-to-clean filter. (max price 120 approx, ideally a lot less)
Cordless as above, but must perform well continuously nda real-time battery from a full charge
must last at least 25 minutes and not too heavy and may prices, ideally sub 150.
Reading the reviews, I start off with the negatives and see if there is a pattern. Often there is, EG
loses suction... noisy...not well built,...not picking up bits..etc. This often puts me off if there is a pattern in the review stating this.
Dyson, we bought one many years ago, and it was not just very expensive but very heavy, so we returned it. This was years ago, and Shark look like a good brand but bulky as well.
The main cleaning will be the wood floors. IE, a daily dust around or light dust.

We have 4 vacs if we include the carpet cleaner.
Our VAX cleaner is pretty good - lightweight, long hose and long power cable. I use it on the stairs and it will vac hard floors. It's something like a Vax Air Stretch. We also have a cordless Shark. That's okay, but struggles with anything too heavy. I use it mainly as a quick mop up vac. We also have a SEBO E which is our powerhouse vac. One of those drag along ones. Will suck anything up. We were given it years ago and recently bought a full set of filters for it which has given it a new lease of life. Great for cleaning up after DIY, not much use on the stairs though.
Personally, I'd go for a Vax - similar to Dyson, not as well made but a lot cheaper and up to the job.0
