Good morning all from a gloomy Mehefinland
By gum it was dark this morning, and yesterday too! Currently drizzling... again! so the ongoing painting of Mehefin Towers is temporarily on hold.
Horrible day here yesterday so took my new friend out for a spontaneous lunch at a local hostelry. We both had the light bite deal of a steak and cheese ciabbata - it was huge. One would have fed both of us lol. Chips and a lovely side salad as well, and was reasonably priced. We wandered off to see the medieval wall paintings at Llancarfan church, which have world importance apparently. They were discovered purely by accident some years ago and have undergone expensive conservation. The St George and the Dragon is awesome, but its the small things which catch your eye and are so impressive when you consider what the painters were working with. The 7 deadly sins are quite something too. Well worth a visit (or a Google!).
Hope everyone is keeping well in this autumnal weather - it was warmer outside than in yesterday even though it was raining!! Hugs and spoons as always

Morning all and thanks for the start @Scarlet. Weather forecast not looking too bad for today, bright blue sky and sunny (so far), cloudier later on, with a light to moderate breeze and top temps of around 20 deg, not likely to rain.
Yesterday passed pleasantly enough with a crafting afternoon, although I did have a break halfway through as my bum was getting numb. The rain had stopped and the sun was out so I decided to do the small shop after all. I took a brolly just in case but didn't need it and I could probably have not bothered with a jacket either, in fact it felt quite humid. Just after I got home two chaps from one of the energy companies were door knocking for business (no joy from me) and I noticed the recycling bins missed from last week had been emptied. As it was general waste day, I suspect it all went in the same wagon.
Today I'm going to have a sort through the curtains, I'm sure I have more than I need! I already know without looking there's one pair that can go to the CS. Other than that, it's just the usual day to day stuff but I might squeeze in a walk if it stays fine. Tea tonight is the last of the cooked gammon (that's another box out of the freezer), egg and hash browns.
That's about it, so I'll wish everyone a happy and stress-free day. Usual hugs and thoughts for the poorly ones. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9 -

Morning All
Wet day yesterday and we decided to test the heating, boiler not firing up for radiators. DH thinks it needs a rest. Luckily its due to be serviced next week.
Had a lovely evening with friends last night we played a board game and had a lovely home cooked dinner and a very late night ... oops
Popping out for some shopping for the weekend and knitting or crochet on the cards.
Hugs to all who want them, have a good day all
