Morning, I've just quickly read through yesterday's postings, welcome back Ruby, hasn't it gone quickly, doesn't seem 5 minutes since you went away.
It's a fine start here, not full daylight yet though.
Not much doing here today, husband has a Drs appt, and I'll be waiting in for a delivery, but there's plenty to do here while I'm waiting.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day.
Take care folks.14 -
Morning folks and welcome back RUBY. It's a much better start than yesterday with the sun rising and no rain!!
I enjoyed our little trip to Skipton yesterday and after the early morning rain we had a lovely day, it felt warm when the sun was out. We enjoyed our lunch unlike the day before! We both had gammon and all the accompaniments and much enjoyed it. I managed to find some jeans but no jumpers. But I did find a sort of heavy weight cotton long sleeved top which goes perfectly with the jeans. The search goes on for jumpers!
Today is a stay at home day so a catch up on some cleaning is on the cards. I would much prefer to be out gallivanting somewhere but needs must I suppose. And there is washing accumulating in the basket too.
Have a nice day if you can folks with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely as always. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"14 -
Thanks for the start Scarlet
Well done finding the jeans TA, I bought some lovely cropped trousers in Skipton market, they had about a dozen colours and now wish I’d bought more!Off on a trip to Birmingham this morning, taking DD to the Police Museum - it’s a belated Father’s Day present. He spent all his working life at the Magistrates’ Courts and this is in the old police lock-up next door so think he’ll enjoy it. There might even be coffee and cake afterwards!Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all. The wind has been howling here all night too, that along with the torrential rain has made for a disturbing night.Welcome back @Ruby - what a lovely time you've both had. The price to pay is always the washing once home!Yesterday I did the quick whizz upwards and really did resist buying another other than a TV guide. On Tuesday I brought home two delicious goats cheese and caramelised onions from the Italian'ish cafe so had one yesterday and have the other for today with salady stuff Later on I watched GBBO and GBSB so all caught up.This morning I've packed my wee backpack for the travels over the weekend. It's never fully unpacked, just needed to added appropriate number of knickers and check out the toiletries. I won't need 'going out' clothes and have sorted out my very underused rain coat I bought about five years ago. Then I promptly piled on too many pounds to wear it and now it fits again.
Happy day.
Whether I go out or not is entirely weather dependent. The rain seems to have eased off though the wind is proving to more reluctant to leave. My thoughts are with all here, hope you all have a good day. Hugs all round.11 -
Morning everyone
Dry but blustery here.
Izzy - we have rain forecast most of the weekend here in North Northumberland and then a brighter week next week.
Gers enjoy your trip to Belfast, I really liked it when I went in the summer,
Ruby - holidays always go too quickly and then you're home with the washing
I seemed to have a busy day yesterday but did manage to have a couple of hours reading in the sunny summer house, which I enjoyed.
Had a chat with eldest DD, she's flying to London today to see Lewis Capaldi then to Bulgaria early tomorrow morning for the weekend...she hasn't had a holiday for 5 weeks bless her!
I've jobs to do before work and then might go over the road to my friend for a cuppa when I get home again.
Hope everyone has a good day today x

Morning all. Forecast is for a dry day here.
We had an interesting Heritage walk yesterday morning, around the village we lived in about 40 years ago, ending up with tea and biscuits in the church where DD was christened. A few more things were then ticked off the list at home, including putting the suitcases away in the loft and putting DS's wedding photo in a frame. The garden has been tidied up a bit and DH cut the grass whilst I emptied a couple of pots.
Today I have ironing to do and some tv to catch up on from last night. Must do a bit of music practice as well, as some new dance tunes have been mentioned for the upcoming practice season. Otherwise onwards and upwards
Have a good day everyone.11 -
Hi everyone,
We're Nate sitting, we came over yesterday because C and C had a night out booked for their anniversary. I was a bit worried because we've never put him to bed but it was fine and he was asleep by his usual time.
It also meant we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to get over here. He's asked to go to our house so we shall do that and it's supposed to be nice this afternoon so we're planning a bike ride. Hopefully my ankle will be ok, it doesn't hurt as much but by the end of the day it's really swollen.
Welcome back Ruby, glad you had a great time.
Have a good day.

Morning all
Raining here again and a bit cold, I have gone straight into my long sleeve and leg pyjamas, last week I had short ones on and a vest top, already seems ages ago.
Lots of washing done yesterday, I got all of mine done and dried in the TD, OH has put a load on this morning, and I have taken the quilt cover off as it was fresh on when we got home and big dog got on it yesterday and was obviously scratching at her sore ear and she has left a huge slightly bloody / watery mark on it so that’s next for the wm.
Not sure about dinner tonight but we have loads in, I really fancy a roast on Sunday so might go and get a joint of meat, I fancy lamb but will see if there is any on offer.
Need to do some housework this morning, and the grass is desperate for a cut but it’s too long atm.
Thank you for the welcome back I must say the holiday went in a flash, I need to start looking for the next one now 😬
Have good days all and take care xx9
