thanks! i will do this tomorrow. I spent about £80 in the sale on tuesday so was gutted to get home and find there was extra points for £15 spend etc in the a/c machine! i had some points vouchers from my mailing, but i would have spilt up my shopping into smaller bundles. i love my a/c points but have this weird thing where i hate spending them on anything apart from perfume!!!!! it's my reward for spending so much money in there !!!!:rotfl:

Good Luck, let us know how you get on!
  • Think I'll try buying a reduced botanics GS and a botanics microdermobrasion kit and see what a 25% off botanics does to that, combined with a half price microderma voucher.

I may be wrong here.but If your 25% off is the voucher that was in the Botanics bags in the sale, it won't work with any botanics item except the mens range. I have 3 and tried one today, and neither till or SA was having any. I just had to say " oh sorry I did not realise it was only on mens stuff.

I also bought Organics Bathtime treats (50% off) for £3.00 and the SA would not accept either the
    100pts AC voucher
    or
voucher for free minature when buying any full size products.

As she said the boxed set of bathtime treats was not a full size product! Also the 100 points could not go with a "reduced item" I dont know if she was making it up as she went along. All the other vouchers went through except the botanics, and of course, the water (As usual)

  • Hi bootsers...just a quick question for fellow london/hertfordshire bootsers...any super reduced no7 items in stock any where? looking for things which are now 50p-ish?

Any help would be very much appreciated! thanks in advance!:D
  • The 500 extra points has just finished on Urban Decay etc, I found out on Wednesday... 1 day too late.
So I thought instead of buying the items I would use up my points.

I bought 24/7 Eyeliner & Big Fatty mascara.. should have totalled 2200 points but they deducted 500 points so only cost 1700 points.

    Bargain!

Did it again today & got XXX Shine Lipgloss & a lipgloss palette for 1050 points.

The microdermobrasion kit actually is for men!! Not usually my sort of thing but I'll give it a try!

So what's the success rate like at Boots with the coupons....do most SAs take what you give them?
I'm an experienced H&Ber at Tesco, but just started to take an interest in Boots. Looks like you've got a lively thread here with a mine of information!

sorry to go off topic...but what's an H&Ber:confused: From a Boots booster who's just starting to take an interest in Tesco:rotfl:
  • H&B = health and beauty ("er" just a suffix like in bootser)

Basically, at certain times there were 3 (or even 4) different sets of coupons that could be used on toiletries. Since the till only sees the pre-bogof total you could use multiples of the coupons and get money off your other shopping. (In October I used to buy 12 bottles of Plax and get over £20 of free groceries!).

Check out the tesco threads on disc codes/vouchers board for some great info.

Tesco seem to have wised up now so its more points collecting than free shopping these days IMO!

Hi, it wasn't the microderobrasion kit, they were all gone:mad: Its boxed with 3 items and called bathtime treats. I will hold onto my vouchers though, and use on on the dermobrasion kit when it comes back in.

You get to know which assistants to use. I put through about 11 vouchers with that particular transaction, and all but the botanics were accepted. Some assistants will read them first and wont even try to scan them. Others just scan.

While you are shopping have a look at the SA's serving, especially someone with loads of vouchers, and see how they react. It wont take you long to suss which ones to avoid. You will see some funny stories on here about assistants. :rotfl:

I went into 2 boots stores today. One was a large branch, the other small. The assistants in the small branch were so helpful. But I know another small branch where you are watched more closely with vouchers simply because not many work there. So it's swings and roundabouts. Just be pleasant, even if you get turned down. But if you know you are right about the voucher, stand your ground. Good luck :T

BTW This thread is wonderul. You wont find a more helpful croud anywhere in MSE land., or anywhere else. So friendly, you will keep coming back for more.
