Hi guys, don't know if this is of any use to anyone, but I popped into the Manchester Arndale store today and they were restocking things! (This was about 3pm) ...I popped in on Wednesday and they were re-stocking at the same time. I think they're aiming to sell as much stuff as possible before the 90% off sale kicks in!

They have lots of things at the Manchester store...heres a list of a few of the things I can remember
-Black and gold boxed belgian chocs (£5 down to £1.50)
-chocolate seashell with little shells inside (£5 down to £1.50)
-tea lovers gift set (£10 down to 2.50)
-hot chocolate sets (2 different types) (£8 down to £2)
-coffee lovers set (£8 down to £2)
-hairdryers (£34 off these, dont know original price though)
-Stella Artois sets (Don't know price, as didn't check)
-Brandy and christmas pudding sets (not sure of price of these again as didnt check)
-Ted baker gift sets (men and womens) (£15 down to £3.75)
-Olive oil gift sets (£8 down to £2)
    -Lots of childrens toys
-Lots of the Royal Jelly gift sets
-Lots of character bubble bath bottles
-Lots of christmas sweeties (gold coins, lollie pops, gingerbread men)

That just some of the stuff that I can remember.

I got this lovely fajita/chilli set today in the boots sale. Its a box, with a small sized griddle (with handle) in it, a small box of chillie flakes, small box of whole dried chillies, and a bottle of olive oil with chillies in it, and a small brush to oil the griddle pan with. This was £15 down to £3.75...SA was shocked at the price, for the amount in it, and even showed it to the other SA's next to her!

I've worked out how to bargain hunt at boots...now I just need to figure out how to maximise my AC points!

Also...does anyone know when the 90% sale begins? Is it worth going to? It's my first year going to the boots sales, so would like to know if its worth getting up early for lol. :D
  • we think the 90% off starts 29th this year

Could any of you nice bootsers give me some idea on the age range for some of the bargains I have picked up. I have five nieces who will be 6, 10, 11, 12 and 19 this year. My sons are 3 and 5 so we may have some girls birthday parties for 3 and 5 years olds. I also buy for my mother and MIL and my 40 year old foster sister. Thank you.

Yes, theres quite a few of us that have been around a long long time ....but we got thrown off the thread for chatting too much!

Is that true? Did someone complain about the chatting? I know other threads have other types of etiquette, but in this one we chat and share bargains, and once a bargain is really good someone posts it autonomously in the grabbit thread.
Personally when I discovered the men's botanics glitch 2 days ago I could wait to tell you all about it (buy botanics men gift sets, take the 25% voucher and get another gift set on 75% off and the till takes 75+25 off, ie free - for those who missed it). I didn't even bother posting it elsewhere... I wanted to share it with YOU, not some anonymous person.

fesdufun, I'd save the make-up/pamper items for the older girls, and probably give the stationery set/mary-kate/ashley lip gloss type gifts to a younger girl. Try to match the items to people you think will actually like and more importantly use them.

off topic, but what do boots do with the free gifts eg sjp diary, paris hilton toy dog, david beckham towel etc when the promotions end. is there somewhere were they sell them on
  • im 20 and i know i would love the ruby and millie set so im sure the girl turning 19 will also like that
and i think the girl thats turning 12 would like the mary kate and ashley lip gloss and /or the bobby pin (because i remember i was just getting into experimenting with make up at that age)

    hope that helps

    Hey Everyone,

Anybody know if theres anything left in any of the Liverpool stores? I got a fair bit from the New Mersey Retail the other day, but was wondering if it was worth venturing back?!

Hey, I was wondering the same thing too...I wanted to get a couple of gift sets, but in the boots near to me, they're only reduced a coupla £££ each! Most are not even 50% off! They don't tend to have too many gift sets anyway, so maybe the staff take those once they are put on sale?

Bit off topic...but I went into House of Fraser the other day, and they had some nice gift sets under £20!
