The Barnsley store at 10am this morning was very poor, no sign of restocking while I was there.
Lots of bare shelves! The only items they had were Ted Baker sets - lots of the same one. Spas sets - lots of the same. Nothing else really, a foodie set with christmas pudding in?
Fragrance gift sets were 1/3 off, not many left. Though there were a few Mango Adorably perfumes at £10. Small selection of childrens clothes, no toys on sale - SA were moving them around.
I did see a SA with a huge bag full of items, must have got all the goodies before us
Managed to get a Bobbypin wrap for £3 from £12, that was all! unsure whether to bother visiting Cortonwood store. Going to give Meadowhall a miss, sure I'll have missed all the fab items.
    The £2.00 Coin Savers Club = approx £22.00  :j.. The 20p Savers Club = £17.80.

  • Hi All,

Just recovering from my mega Boots shopping yesterday! Arms & legs are killing me............I feel like I have been on an assult course :rotfl: :rotfl:
After doing a Mega shop at Whincheap...........DH talked me into checking out Westwood Cross......Not a great deal left by 5pm.........loads of TB ladies & mens... Most of what was left I had already got at Whincheap.
Did get a few things............found a few No.7 tanning wipes down to 50p took it to the main counter with Free No.7 Highlighting powder & it went through No prob :T so I went back & did the same again so now have 2 out of 3 colours. Managed to use 2 more or the £5 face vouchers & on the way out found another 2 very wet vouchers on the floor outside! Managed to dry them out & use them this morning on 2 x T D Wipes!
Very Happy with my haul............just running out of space..........I have saved a fortune but now need a bigger house!!!!
****Everything comes to those who wait......it just seems like I have been waiting forever!****
  • Hello Bootsers, hope you’re all getting lots of lovely bargains in the sales! I’m afraid I lost my wings last year due to health problems so haven’t been following your exploits for a while, but I had £50 worth of points on my AC left over from my tart days and had great fun spending them in Speke yesterday morning. Hello to anybody that was there!

Anyway, I *think* I may have sussed out what’s happening with the miniature perfume sets. There are some that are 50% off and some that are 75% off, at least there have been on the website anyway. We need somebody to try in store to confirm! Ok, details..

    50% off (£9.00):

    Scents of Attraction Gift Set:
    soa1.jpg
    • Ghost 5ml
    • Cacharel Amor Amor 5ml
    • Ted Baker X2O 10ml
    • Hugo Woman 5ml
    • Very Irr!sistible Givenchy 4ml
    Scents of Occasion Gift Set:
    soo1.jpg
    • Givenchy Amarige 4ml
    • Guerlain Insolence 5ml
    • Givenchy Ange ou D!mon 4ml
    • Ghost Deep Night 10ml
    • Very Irr!sistible Givenchy Sensual 4ml
    75% off (£4.50)

    Scents of Attraction Miniature Set:
    soa2.jpg
    • Anna Sui Secret Wish 4ml
    • Very Irresistible Givenchy Original 4ml
    • Hugo Woman 5ml
    • Ghost 5ml
    • Ted Baker XO 10ml
    Scents of Occasion Miniature Set:
    soo2.jpg
    • Ghost Deep Night 10ml
    • Escada 5ml
    • Very Irresistible Givenchy Sensual 4ml
    • Amarige 4ml
    • Ysatis 4ml
Looks like some Boots staff may have got mixed up and put the Gift sets out instead of the Miniature sets? Can see how easily that might have happened since the wording on the boxes just says “Scents of Attraction” & “Scents of Occasion”. Maybe somebody who has bought them at £9 can confirm whether or not the boxes were as above??? Anyway, good luck finding them if my theory is right. (Fingers crossed!)

  • Crystal Peaks (Sheffield) Boots had a few bits and pieces left when I stuck my head in this morning. Loads of ted baker, spa, royal jelly and some Accessorize hat box sets.

Also had a huge section of No 7 clearance stuff on a display near the tills for people trying to get the highlighters

Will post later about the sales (Still recovering)

Just wanted to let eveyone know that I found out yesterday by chance that over 60's can get H&B mags free (unlimited) I bought extra 2 yesterday to get voucher for free Highlighter.

Did not check my receipt first time. Second time I just offered the pound coin. SA told me it was free for over 60's. Scanned my card, and it shows 00.00. Other receipt was the same when I checked.:j :j :j Tickled pink now, no more sculduggery using my husbands card and my sisters, and trying to remember which one I used for the mag.

I also get 10% of all my purchases of Boots products.
I also get 10% off when buying with points. (Truly wonderful, as it means I can never end up with zero points)

This makes an amazing difference and Boots make so many lines. This got me thinking of ways you younger folks can save more.

    1) Swap cards with your mum or grandmother . For males do the opposite, dont know if there many males on here??

    2) Ask Mum? to get any extra mags that you need. Obvoiusly Mum?granny needs to be a member of the Health Club and over 60.

3)If neither Mum or gran qualify or you have neither. Choose an older sister or elderly Aunt/Uncle.

4)It is beneficial if the over 60 sister, aunt/ uncle lives with you also. Make sure that you keep a careful note of their:-

    a]...D.o.b
    b]...Their email addy
c]...Their password and log in details.

This information is important As older people get forgetful, (As I can verify) Unfortunately I can never forget I am 61.
If I ever do, I only have to look into the mirror to remind me.

The HC is a great idea, with 50% of so many items, that you really will benefit from sharing with the over 60's.

Gonna now go and catch up on your exploits from page 62. Seeya later

Sorry to hear you missed out Orlaith. The staff at my local always get first pick of the bargains. You must have a very mean manager at your store:mad:

That is very harsh! I know last year I was talking to a SA in Oxford who had come in early to shop before her shift and said she had LOADS of stuff.

It only seems fair that the staff should have a chance - just imagine being on the tills and seeing all the goodies disappearing of the shelves whilst they are working:eek:

Pogo stick showing out of stock when I click on it, but managed to get the black beaded evening bag my mum wanted, as that's made a reappearance online

i was nine items short on my order. I spoke to CS last night and they took the details and asked me to hold fire for a couple of days in case the parcel has got separated and arrives later. Luckily I got the things that I wanted most already.

I was shocked to find that they don't know the number of parcels in an order, or the items in each parcel!!
