    PPI Party Pooper
racheybabe, my friend went to Sheffield High Street today and got lots of toys reduced, the SA said that they would just continue to restock the shelves till they were all gone. The SA also said that Meadowhall Boots was a nightmare (I think horrendous was the word she described it as!!) so not sure what they might have left. This was at lunchtime today.

Got a few things in the Moor in Sheffield, but hardly anything left at 12.30. Got No7 compact £4 instead of £16 with 200 point voucher, Simpsons socks and bath foam set £2 instead of £8, A pen and pencil set for £3 instead of £12 and a set of christmas cards i have liked since the catalogue came out, £1.25 instead of £5. Got free TD wipes with skincare voucher, spent £10.25 and got another £5 voucher back. Happy days!!
You're so very special, I wish I was special

  • Is the online 75% sale updated every night or just ever so often?
  • Yeah i also noticed that, do they reduce them at a later stage?

They didn't last year - I dont think they like to reduce the toys as they sell them all year round. Last year there was nothing left except a few cards when it came to the 90% off day  .
  • Just worked out i have got 8 bday present for family, 19 xmas pressies , a few party presents and dd birthday and xmas presents. Total cost probably about £150 but shoud have been £600. Dh wasn't as keen on going to sale but when he saw what we had got for the money he was very impressed! Wish i could do it all again tomorrow but i have to work the rest of the week.

If anyone on the Wirral is looking they had lots of the Accesorize boxes in Bromborough

Thanks for that :D , I dont know where the Sheffield high street store is - I'm even getting my dad to drive me to meadowhall tomorrow cos I'm not good driving places which I'm not sure about LOL. I mignt try phoning them first in the morning before I set off and ask if they have much left.

I know a couple of years ago I got loads of things from Meadowhall - I hope they have some toys left, I missed out on the online sale:( .

    Thanks again

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I just thought of this... The voucher you get inside the No7 Compact (which now sells for £4 I think?) - could that be used when 'buying' the No7 Highlighter and No7 Tanning Wipe for 50p in combination with the magazine voucher for the free highlighter?

I hope it would work as I have 2 vouchers from last GWP for 250points

BTW Lindt Lindor chocolate balls in the gold box (yumyum) are still scanning at £1.45, just like yesterday. And I missed the Panetto (Italian cake thing) in the online sale, but got the last one in my store this morning for £3 instead of £12. More yumyum! And didn't spend any real money, just points, woohoo.

I wanted to buy this chocolate balls but they came out at full price in Preston so left them...

    Poundsinbucks x ;)

extra vouchers in gifts - I get 17 Brush collection purse for £2 and there is £1 off 17 WYS £5

also just to add using multiple amount of vouchers in one transation, last weekend I bought:
allday big value pack which was half price on the shelf plus 100 points for it from last mailing and this didn scan but SA just saw box and add them manually
I have also used in the same transaction
    £2 photo voucher
    50p off water voucher
plus 2 1l water which is half price for health club member as well, so I think you can use more than one voucher per transaction but some vouchers just dont work automatically for some reasons
This will be mine in 2009 member's club no. 359 :happyloveCash £1000+, Holiday, Handbag

If you're driving to meadowhall you could consider getting the tram from there into sheffield, get off at Cathedral and you'll see the Boots. it's a bit of a nightmare driving round sheffield city centre. all depends on whether you're willing to pay the tram fare!

sally06 sorry you couldn't find any funky fish bags.

    "Funky Fish Bags"
Hiya Sally06, I couldnt find your original post, Sorry so quoted the above regarding the "funky fish bags" that I thought you wanted.
I dont know where abouts your nearest Boots is, but they were putting more stock out this evening, at a Boots near me, including the "Funky Fish Bags" in Boots in Northampton.

    STAFF WAS RE-STOCKING SHELVES
A member of Staff was emptying a big cage full of items, mainly of things that I didnt need and never purchased.
Loads of Green ish boxes (I think they were the Ted Baker Gift)
Loads of Bath Crystals @ 75p
    Lynx Box Sets
Sim Card Transfer thing (sorry, I was trying to concentrate on what I needed and forgot to remember in more detail)
    Loads of Xmas Cards
Loads more but cant remember, sorry.
Also had loads of non-xmas items aswell including Halloween Face Paints for 20p

    2nd TRIP - AND I BOUGHT......
    Sports Wash Bag -£3.00
    Winter Warmer Bag -£3.00
    Simpsons Trimer Kit -£2.00
    Noddy Bubble bath -£1.25
    Bath Crystals 75p
    Brandy Flambe Pudding Kit -£3.00
    (Contents:-Stainless Steel flambe ladle with s.steel bowl on chrome wireholder, 2 x 100g Xmas Puddings, 1 x 5cl Brandy)

COULDNT USE FREE No7 HIGH-LIGHTS COUPON
I also tried to use the voucher from magazine by purchasing the No7 Make-up sponge for a free highlighter today in Boots and the SA was having none of it. She read the voucher and said that she thought I would need to buy something of a higher value. As I had been in the store for 45mins (30mins looking for something to get so I could use 1 of the free £5 vouchers - but gave up as my ds who is 5 was starting to put make-up on himself, will try again 2moro.)

Hi all. 2nd Boots 75% post of day.

Just back from Boots Trafford Centre, and it was mega busy but got loads of bargains. Spent £25 for £100 of stuff and got £5.78 back in points. I got the Underground Ernie trains I needed and it was a v successful trip. Now please bear with me, I have two questions and two (hopefully useful) tips.

Q1 - I went to Davyhulme Retail Park (nr Trafford Centre) on the way home from work and the signs everywhere said 50%. There wasnt much sale stuff there, nor anyone with baskets full of stuff either, so does anyone know if it was a 75% sale today with the wrong signs up (which meant I completely missed it) or... does the 75% sale starts tomorrow??

Q2 - I cant tell you the exact name of this but I wanted to buy a pop up bob the builder game for my son (it was a bit like the old "Perfection" game) and you can put Pingu and other different characters into the pop up bit. This was £15 full price and I should have got it at 50% off and stupidly I didn't. Any sightings of this toy in any Mcr boots stores please?

Tip 1 - For anyone with kids.... McDonalds currently give mini MB Games (Guess , Hungry Hippos etc) with Happy Meals. The cash value to buy a toy from McDs is 99p and they are very small, but I have just bought my kids a travel Guess Who for £1.24 and a travel Battleships for £1.24 from the Trafford Centre which are far bigger and better that the McD ones, and they had loads of these left. This kind of bribery also helps you to get a more peaceful shopping time in Boots :D

Tip 2 - As people have mentioned on here the Boots 17 xmas gifts contain vouchers which could be embarassing if you don't remove them before you give as gifts. I bought the the large £20 Boots 17 gift set for £5 and the voucher is under the cosmetics bag and is for £1 off a £5 spend on 17 Cosmetics. Its valid till 31/01/08 and I got in by scoring the seal with a knife and now it looks like its never been opened and can still be given as a gift.:rotfl:
