Good luck to everyone in the sales ,I hope theres something left by the weekend for me! I am on crutches just now and need OH to take me:mad:
Does anyone have a No7 highlighter voucher going spare so I can get one of those to make up for missing the sale today:o:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -
Hope everyone was lucky in the sale
Hit Aberdeen at 9.30am after midwife and managed to spend £50 (so saving £150)
Over the moon thats mothers day, fathers day and a lot of birthdays taken care of
Had to phone oh at work and get him to come and carry the bags to the car - didnt really think through the 7 1/2 months pregnant and bags thing :rotfl:
Was tempted to go back after he went back to work - but decided a cup of tea and feet up was required :T0 -
Hi everyone, would I be able to return things i bought in the half price sale and then buy the same things from the 75% sale?
I remember reading on here about people returning items but can't remember the detail and gotta leave pretty sharpish to get the bargains!0 -
I asked what the minimum spend was to get the voucher was told £5. So, I did 6 separate transactions and can now get 6 packs of TD wipes for free. Also, I picked up a magazine, got the No7 voucher, found a 50p wipe and got the illuminating powder for free. DD will be pleased.
Just back i did the same. Asked what the minimum spend had to be and then said " oh good i can split this into 4 lots then". She tried to out me off by saying the voucher could only be spent on certain things but i said no problem. Had a good shop spent £ 24.00 and got four £ 5.00 off vouchers. Cant see there being much left later/tomorrow as in my store it was flying off the shelfs.0 -
Went to my local spent £15 but cost nothing as I got the Boots vouchers for free. Split it up and got two skin care vouchers. I know one per £5 spend but I could not split it up any other way and my brain is not working this morning.
Over heard the manger saying the staff where buying more than customers. As I don't think I have many MSE devotes around me.
Gave the 2 skin vouchers to my husband so he can buy me some pressies for Valentines day and Wedding anniversary that is coming soon.
If I get him to do it right he will get even more skin vouchers. Better talk to him tonight about that. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was at the Boots Whitgift croydon at 08am when they opened. I got my double basket on wheels and started shopping. I overheard lots of staff saying 'oh look the 75% off started today' so it does appear many staff dont even know when it starts. Itwas quiet, no rush or panic.
I got eveything i wanted:
Ruby & Millie ultimates set was £50 now £12.50
King of Shaves kit bag was £16 now £4
National Trust Campers Set was £15 now £3.75
Naked in the Woods set was £15 now £3.75
Ted Baker in Tune set was £15 now £3.75
White collection handcare (handwash and lotion in glass holder) was £10 now £2.50
Lynx music pack (Recover bodyspray and shower gel) was £8.49 now £2.12
I was most pleased with the Naked sets: for anyone who is getting into more natural toiletries tha range is 97% natural, with no petrochemicals, sodium laureth sulfate or parabens. Of the £3.75 £1 is donated to the Woodland Trust. I got 4 packs, enough to last all year.
Had £45 gift card so only handed over 74p and got 180 points. :T
Shame the fragrance gift sets were not furtehr reduced.0 -
Trust my luck - had a meeting at 8.30 am... but literally ran out of the door at 9.30 am! It's raining really hard here so the town is dead and there were no people in Boots - it's hardly been touched! Oxford city has lots of guys stuff but not much for the ladies though. There are some bits that I might wait to see if they are still around at 90 %.
I bought:
Ted travel's (Ted baker gift sets) x 2 was £20 - 2 x £5
Botanics Men's wash bag: was £15 - £3.75
ELC mobile moon base toy: was £15 - £3.75
Silk Jewellery box: was £12 - £3
Lynx set: was 8.99 now 2.24
Paid £22.74 total plus one skincare voucher
Then, as I hadn't realised the skinacre thing:
Stella gift set (beer, not perfume) was £15 - 3.75
Green and Black's Cooks Gift was 14.99 - 3.74
Paid 7.49 plus one skincare voucher Points on OH's card now £1.68
And the best bit.... managed to sneak back into work without getting caught, by coming in the back entrance, dumping stuff in stores, checking to see if my boss was around, realising it was all clear, sneaking stuff into office, hiding it under my desk (and the desk next to me!), drying my hair in the bathroom.... oh yes...:T :rotfl: :rotfl:
Didn't feel bad as a) I'm not being paid b) everyone else went for coffee after the meeting and were still on break when I got back.:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
