How long does the £1000 credit have to stay in to get the bonus? Thanks.0

But this is a Co Op Switch thread and I'm asking about a Co Op Switch. Not Santander!Rob5342 said:
The terms dont specify any minimum length of time. With Santander i just transferred £200 back and forth 5 timesjuw8e7 said:How long does the £1000 credit have to stay in to get the bonus? Thanks.0 -
I’ve replied on your own thread. Best stick to one thread.juw8e7 said:0 -
I know, it was just some helpful extra information from someone that has done numerous switches to illustrate that you can simply take the published terms at face value.juw8e7 said:0 -
You should read the terms and conditions, not ask people on forumsjuw8e7 said:How long does the £1000 credit have to stay in to get the bonus? Thanks.
If the terms say "You must pay in £1000 to qualify" with no caveats then you could pay in £1 1000x or £1000 or whatever combination you wanted. Similarly, if the terms do not say "you must leave £1000 in for X amount of time" then the money can be moved in and out and satisfy the criteriaSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

No harm in asking people on forums too. Everyone should do their own research and read the T&Cs themselves, but can always ask if they want clarification. Plenty of friendly people around to help.Nasqueron said:

Safety first and really it would be quicker to just read the Ts & Cs than post on a forum which might give incorrect info. One of the MSE rules - DYORclairec666 said:

I've just got my £100, it was surprisingly quick given how slow and old fashioned they seem to be with everything else. I made the 10th debit card payment on Saturday, today (three days later) I got an email saying I had qualified and two hours after that I had the money in the account.0

You will also get a helpful email telling you exactly what you have to do to get the first extra £25, and the dates between which you must do it, with similar emails in subsequent months for your 2nd and third bonuses.0
