What's a good, simple, prepaid card ?

I'm looking for a straightforward card that I can load up with money in order to pay on the internet or in shops without having to use my bank card or credit card and thus hand over my details.
Paypal seemed the obvious answer but it and similar companies like revolut are too complicated, expecting you to 'manage all your money in one place' - exactly what I don't want to do.
Is there a simpler card ?

Why don't you just open an account with no overdraft facilities and put money in that as needed? At a separate bank from your other accounts.

Ordering anything online requires you to enter details like your name etc.

Revolut aren't complicated. They might want you to organise all your money with them, but you don't have to.

I have just the Revolut card which I load with money, but the feature I use the most is that the app can generate you a 1-time disposable credit card which only works for the first payment. This stops any unsrcupulous businesses attempting to make further charges and to stop "free" subscription offers from taking payment after the free trial ends.

Once you have used it it generates another disposable card number for the next transaction.

I use a Nationwide FlexAccount for small payments (mostly supermarket bills). I top it up to £100 and have the contactless limit set to £20, which suits me.

That's exactly how I use my Starling current account. No FX fees abroad either 👍

I use this arrangement - one account for my day to day small spends, at a different bank to the account my salary goes into.
