Cleaning floors especially stairs carpet

House I bought has laminate in most rooms and a carpeted stairs.
I guess a basic cordless vacuum or duatpan and brush and a flash speed mop would deal with the hard floors.
How about carpeted stairs.. vacuum and anything else?
Thanks for any tips

Vacuum would be fine for the stairs most of the time but an occasional brush with a hard brush from dustpan and brush set and a wipe with a damp cloth gives a 'spring clean'.
Sweeping with a soft broom regularly and a perhaps weekly clean with a mop is fine for hard floors plus wiping up any spills immediately.0 -
We've recently got some shark thingy that is like a mop and vaccume together - works well for us on tiles and solid wood floor. Don't get laminate too wet.0

If laminate is fitted well (no gaps between planks), I found a swiffer to be more effective)and faster) than a vacuum cleaner. As above, don't let laminate get too wet or it will swell.Statement of Affairs (SOA) link: https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/financecalculators/soa.phpFor free, non-judgemental debt advice, try: Stepchange or National Debtline.
