I left BG several months ago, and recently told my bank to cancel my DD (having collected a further £180 compo).
Today BG sent me two emails. The first threatened that the non-DD tariff would be more expensive and that my credit rating would be trashed if I didn't pay within 14 days of receiving a bill. The second listed the new prices.
Wish I could hold them to their quotation and reduce my bill by 99% ! I'd return in a flash.

I suspect at least one of their minimum wage slaves is busting a gut laughing over this & certainly having no intention of telling their boss. Promoted out of trouble doesn't seem to have worked in this case.1
