Another BIG thank you @elsiepac. You have helped so many people and we have all saved sooo much money. Wouldn't it be fascinating if we knew just how much money has stayed in our purses rather than in the coffers of retailers.
talking of which I'm very happy to have an underspend of £11.92 for October. I'm scooping up underspends and extra earnings from surveys, £co or sales etc into an account which I hope will be enough to pay our buildings insurance next May.
£11.92 underspend 🥳

Popping in for a quick update. So far this month I've spent £133, this includes £36 bulk buy at the butcher, saving about £8 on what it would cost to buy the portions of meat separately. My month ends on 7th November so there will be a bit more shopping to add next week.Grocery challenge 2025: £1428/1500 annual budget3

I'm £1 over this week.
I'm still trying to break the habit of picking up odds and sods rather than planning for the week or shopping more sensibly.

Evening all. Over the past week I’ve spent about £60 in various places: Savers, Lidl, M & S, and Iceland. I’m declaring for October at £447.09 / £325 spent. £122.09 overspent.
Jings! That was a lot of stocking up this month. Let me go tuck my tail between my legs and plan better for November.

Another October budget spend today - £8.52 on oranges, mint sauce, bananas, apples, rocket, black grapes and vegan salad cream.
£328.52/£350
I still need to buy avocado and cucumber for an asian night later this week (or next weekend) but won't buy those until later in the week. Hopefully, I'll come in just under budget as my new one doesn't start until Friday 7th November'Happiness is not a destination but the journey you walk every day'
