Prize draw Terms & Conditions:
The prize draw is open to residents of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia aged 18 years or over, except employees of Explore Worldwide Ltd (Explore) and their families, or anyone else professionally associated with the promoter.
1. The promotional period commences on 15 September 2025 at 00:01am (GMT) and closes at 11:59pm (GMT) on 21 December 2025.
2. No purchase is necessary. To enter the prize draw individuals must simply complete the form at the end of the Micro-retirement quiz. You will need to provide your name and email address to qualify your entry.
3. Lost, late, incomplete or incomprehensible entries or those containing offensive content will be deemed invalid. The promoter is not responsible for any technical issues (or other), which impede an entry being submitted correctly and/or in full. No robot or automated entries will be accepted. Only one entry per unique valid email address is eligible and duplicate entries will be deleted. Explore’s decision to disqualify an entry is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
4. One prize winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entrants by an Explore representative by 19 December 2025. The prize winner will be notified by email within 2 working days of the draw.
5. In the event that the prize notification email is returned as undeliverable or should the winner be unable to accept their prize within 20 working days of being notified, it will be deemed that the winner has forfeited their prize and Explore reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner drawn from all remaining eligible entries.
6. Explore reserves the right to request proof of residency at the stated address and identification for verification before issuing the prize.
7. The one prize winner will win an Explore voucher for £5,000 or equivalent* to spend on your dream micro-retirement adventure. *CAD $9,550, AUD $10,750, USD $7,000.
8. The voucher can only be used once and applied to one booking.
9. A maximum of two people travelling together on the same trip can use the voucher.
10. The prize trip includes accommodation (on a twin-share or double basis), ground transport, some activities and some meals as shown on the itinerary, an Explore Tour Leader, local guides as per the tour trip notes and airport transfers both ways in the tour country to/from the hotel (if flights are booked to/from the recommended airport). It does not include optional activities on tour, additional meals on tour or any daily expenses.
11. The prize can be used towards the cost of the tour plus economy return flights for two passengers from London airport if flying from the UK. The prize does not include any optional extras or upgrades; nor does it include the cost of visas (if required) or travel insurance, airport parking or any other expense, it is down to the winner to ensure they have adequate and valid insurance.
12. The prize can be used to upgraded to one single room, if available.
13. The prize trip must be booked by 31st December 2026 for any available departure date available to travel before 31st December 2027. The prize trip must be booked at least six weeks prior to the departure date.
14. Additional passengers may be added to the booking but will be subject to availability and will be charged the full adult price applicable at the time of booking.
15. The booking must be made directly with Explore (see www.exploreworldwide.com) and is subject to Explore’s normal Booking Conditions (see www.exploreworldwide.com/essential-information/terms-and-conditions).
16. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. Should the value of the holiday booked be less than the voucher value, the difference will not be refunded or held as a credit to be used at a later date.
17. There is no cash alternative to the value of the voucher
18. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Explore reserves the right to withdraw or amend the prize at any time and without notice.
19. Explore Worldwide is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and will only use your personal information in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and Explore Worldwide Privacy Policy which is available here.
20. By entering, you agree that any personal information provided by you with your entry may be held and used by the Explore Worldwide or its agents and suppliers to administer the competition.
21. The winner agrees to attending an interview with the Explore team on return from their ‘micro-retirement’ prize trip, and for their story to be used by the marketing team for The Explorer magazine and the Explore website. The winner will receive a proof of the story ahead of publication.
