Newbie- parking eye incorrect co . Name on signage

I’m new here, I’ve looked at the newbie thread but I’m unsure which criteria apply to my situation and I’m hoping someone may be able to help..



I’ve received this parking charge letter but haven’t received the first one so I’m outside their appeal timeframe - my mail is also on a redirect and I’ve been away recently so there’s also been a delay to me seeing this one.

I parked at the hospital as I was visiting someone. I fully intended to use the online system and was willing to pay though I would have qualified as a free first visit. I initially forgot, but tried the following day to pay using the website indicated. I had issues finding/accessing it at the time but eventually did however this took me just over the 24 hour period. The reason being is that parkgood2go is now called Evology. (When I try to access the website now it automatically redirects/functions as evology but it did not do this at the time). 
Anyway I proceeded to register my car, and sent a message via their contact us online form (all within the 25th hour). I messaged to explain that I had tried to access the app/website but it was not working and is now a different name, thus just missed the time frame, I also said I was happy to pay for the parking time (2hrs), waiving the first time free if necessary,  and asked for a response in helping with this.

I never received a response, assumed that there was no issue, and had since forgotten about it. I’ve no proof of my message as despite putting my details in, there was no kind of email receipt. 

I took a photo of the sign at the time to refer to when paying…


I haven’t done anything so far, looking at the newbie thread it seems I should contact the hospital/pals which I can do, but I’m a bit confused as to which stage I’m at with parking eye - I think I would need to make a complaint, but would it be advised to keep this to a standard template or given the fact I did try to pay/make contact, should I include this info?

(Sorry if I have misunderstood advice that is already posted - I can struggle with processing lots of information)

If anyone is able to help or point me a bit further in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated!

    Take it to PALS.

    Also log into ParkingEye and see if it still offers you the option to pay at the discount if that is something you want to consider.

    Otherwise, send a complaint to PALS and a complaint online to ParkingEye, explaining what happened and asking for the PCN to be cancelled or re-issued.

  • Thank you for replying… I’ll contact PALS then. I’ve just checked on parking eye and the balance now states £100 so I’m assuming I’m expecting a letter with a further charge. 
    Just to check in the meantime whilst I’m contacting PALS, would you hold off contacting parking eye?
