House transfer, Solicitor required?

Are there any experts or anyone whos gone through this? Forgive my ignorance.
We have a property that has been left to siblings. One sibling is buying out the others, price and value is agreed.
In terms of Dealing with Land Registry and the paying out of siblings, is a Solicitor required or advised? Or do people do this internally? It should be amicable.
TIA

I assume that none of the siblings have SDLT compliance knowledge arising from the proposed purchase, so engaging a solicitor seems a requirement here.1 -
Thank you, I had a read of that. That is helpful. No none of us do have SDLT compliance knowledge. I guess legal advice is required. I was hoping it might be simpler than that.0

Q Would all sibling get different solicitors? Or is it normal for 1 to handle the transaction?0
-
You only need one.

Land registration is complex, designed to protect legal and financial interests in property. There can be significant consequences for any error. Please consider seeking legal representation. Before making an application without legal representation, it is important to consider the benefits of using a conveyancer.“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Land Registry. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"1 -

Thanks for the input on this thread. As well to point out out some matters unwise to approach on a DIY basis.1
