Holiday illness- am I entitled to compensation?

    Anything from ABTA, one way or another ?
  • I haven’t had any significant details from ABTA yet, just an acknowledgment of my complaint. Hopefully I’ll have some more information within 28 days. 

    I also had an email from ‘Escalation Support Executive’ after emailing S. Heapy as you recommended. I should hear back from them within 14 days.

    At least you are getting the attention of Jet2.
    When I raised my issue somebody called me to discuss specifics - good idea to have all your facts ready to hand.

  • I had an email from ABTA. They have stated they cannot uphold a complaint due to it being holiday illness. Jet2 have now handed me over to the legal team. I’m unsure of what the outcome will be or when I’ll expect a decision or appropriate response.

    The positive is that Jet2 are still in communication with you.  They do have a better record than most tour operators as far as customer service is concerned.
