You said you paid for up to £1,000 insurance cover for loss or damage during transit.

Now is the time to pass the claim to the insurer (if it is really insurance) along with the evidence of damage you have received, and let them sort it out with DJ Superstore or Pioneer.
  • Why'd you buy from these guys rather than Gear4Music?

G4M dont have the best reputation if you ask dedicated small music shops but their complaints are more of the stack 'em high, sell them cheap approach rather than customer service etc. For basic stuff like electronics they are great, for things like guitars etc specialists will do work on them before they sell so it depends on if you value this or not.
Thought I’d give them a try as the reviews seemed good.

Never has any issues with G4M but only ever bought DJ stuff from them so can’t comment on their instrument department.

I’m still arguing with the store but I have prepared the claim ready to send in case they don’t back down.

I don't buy DJ stuff but I've bought instruments from G4M and both the service and the instruments have been fine.

Music shops don't like them because of their prices. My local guy (who has since closed his shop down) told me that G4M sell for less than he could buy from his wholesalers.

    It's a tough world.

Yeah the small businesses don’t stand a chance against the big hitters. I’m surprised there are any left with Amazon and other places taking over the world.
