International blue badge?

More of a rant than anything else. I have a visitor who is disabled.  In her home country (US) she has a blue badge but that doesn’t work here.  Parking somewhere convenient  or simply stopping to help her out of the car is a nightmare and severely restricts what we can do.

  • Our blue badge isn’t recognised over there either. Most European countries and some others like South Africa have reciprocal agreements.

Each council has it's own guidelines as to how they deal with non-UK badges.  Probably too late to arrange anything with them now but one for the future.

    Here is an example

Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid
