PIP Renewal Success

Well the title says it all, my current claim was due to run out in December 2025. I received the dreaded renewal AR1 form in June and sent it back within the time frame. Then silence until today when a lovely white letter dropped though the post.

I opened the letter to think it would be an appointment for the dreaded telephone interview, As I had to have on on my last renewal, but to my surprise it was my award letter. Renewed for 3 years, enhanced care, no mobility.

So for once a nice pleasant surprise, I did notice they changed some of the points around on this award though, as in a previous tribunal about 8 years ago, I got 4 points for preparing food, at the tribunal. But on this award, they gave me 2. I wonder if this is all in preparation for when it changes and you need to get 4 in one descriptor to qualify, but that will be a battle for 3 years time. So at least some good news today without the dreaded phone grilling from an assessor.
