UKCPS: trying to pay online, notice not found

Hi, unusual message here: not looking for advices on any appeal, parking notice was legitimate so I just want to pay it and move on.
I have received it from the company I hired a van from, and it's not clear if what the van company sent me is the PCN that I will have to pay. In the small print is written that it will be reissued directly to me so I can pay it. The people on the phone are pretty useless.
The UKCPS phone line closes too early (1PM) and when trying to paying online or on the phone it does not find any notice matching the Parking Charge Reference that I have + the vehicle registration.
Does anyone have any experience in this sort of things please? I'd like to pay it ASAP before it increases.
Thanks

You deal with the one with your name and address on it, not somebody else's2 -
Has the hire company used the tear-off slip at the bottom of the NTK to transfer liability to you, the hirer?2

ThanksI had a similar thing happen to me,I paid off a private parking charge once then I had another and tried to pay it to stop it going up and trying to avoid the hassle of appealing it but the payment site didn't/wouldn't work. Then i discovered this place, and i became miffed that i fell for the "scam" in the first place, hung around here for a while, did a little bit of reading up and then started to post as a bit of revenge and trying to help other from falling victim as I once did.Reasons for not paying:1: You are not in the wrong, very few people are 100% to blame2: its not about enforcement, or even car park management, its about enriching private people, a council issued fine will at least go to the public good, private charges just go towards someone sports car/yacht3: the industry is all smoke and mirrors, it relies on a myth and people thinking they have been fined4: these companies prey on the vulnerable, the disabled, and those genuinely in need by paying them you are in effect contributing to the persecution of these groups - so on a moral standpoint even if you are "wrong" you should not payAnd those are just few reasons not to pay. From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"4 -
As above(s) - have you seen the following posted in the NEWBIES sticky - some of the comments made while MPs debated the new Parking Law - perhaps gives you some idea of the calibre of the entities you are dealing with:-
"Charges are not 'illegal' but this industry is skating on thin ice. These are some of the comments made by the MPs in Parliament concerning the unregulated parking industry (Feb 2018):

''Rip-offs from car park Cowboys must stop''; unfair treatment; signage deliberately confusing to ensure a PCN is issued; ''years of abuse by rogue parking companies''; bloodsuckers; ''the current system of regulation is hopeless, like putting Dracula in charge of the blood-bank''; extortionate fines; rogue operators; ''sense of injustice''; unfair charges and notices; wilfully misleading; signage is a deliberate act to deceive or mislead; ''confusing signs are often deliberate, to trap innocent drivers''; unreasonable; a curse; harassing; operating in a disgusting way; appeals service is no guarantee of a fair hearing; loathed; outrageous scam; dodgy practice; outrageous abuse; unscrupulous practices; ''the British Parking Association is as much use as a multi-storey car park in the Gobi desert''; and finally, by way of unanimous conclusion: ''we need to crack down on these rogue companies. They are an absolute disgrace to this country. Ordinary motorists and ordinary residents should not have to put up with this''.
These are the exact words used, so you should quote them to your MP in a complaint."1
