  • That article says 'typically', so there's no hard and fast 'rule' and certainly nothing in law.
    Accommodation finance is not available in the UK - so technically an application would need to be fraudulent - and fraud is against the law.

    For many lenders yes but not all. Flexibility is also greater between spouses/partners than between parents/children other random pairings of people. 

    There is no registered owner, there is a registered keeper and under PCP/HP the finance company is the owner, registered or not, until the debt is repaid.
