Hi all, I've never booked online before so I'm wondering if you get to know where and when you are going instantly? Because when you apply by post you have to wait until they send you the details. If you get to know instantly this will be great because I am returning to work in March after maternity leave and they want my holidays for next year now.

    Thanks
    Kristi

yes that's the beauty of it, you know exactly when and where as you book:T

  • last year someone guessed the last word and you could book after midnight before the papers:D

    Any ideas:confused:

edit to say OOPs Rachie B beat me to it

I was the person who guessed last year, turned out it was the wrong code.
Still took my booking and we had a great holiday.

    Never know might work again.

we have a one year old daughter, and when we go to haven we have to upgrade to a caravan with heating in the bedrooms, as we had a worrying incident with our eldest daughter being too cold in a caravan in Mid july! This usually puts the cost up to usual levels, does anyone have any advice on how to get a high spec caravan at haven?

    thanks

with the SUN holidays you have the opportunity to upgrade too :)

when you get a confirmation letter direct from the park, there will be options for you to upgrade if you so wish

we have been cold in some of the places we have stayed, but that was the end Oct !

just bring extra blankets and/or a gro bag for her ?? use a hot water bottle to warm her cot before she goes down

    HTH

    :)

    I was thinking 'save' too:think:
As there are a few coupons left to print we should have a choice of a few codes to guess from:p

buy small fan heater and take it with you we always do. no point in upgrading just for heating
i paid something like £6 for small heater and in the caravans they work a treat, we use a timer and set to come on once in the night and then for the morning

Yes, I did that as well. We have a Tesco value fan heater that we usually use for camping and worked really well in the caravan.

Stop taking credit I remember it was your wife:D

Just because your code wasn't the next days code doesn't mean it didn't appear later in the week if you KWIM

Anyway what are your [STRIKE]wifes[/STRIKE] predictions this year?:D

  • Just wondering, I thought I read someone posting you could only book one holiday using the priority form, anyone else know owt about such like (I booked more than one last year)?
  • last year i was freezing, sleeping on the living room sofa in august (we used to have up to 8 people in a van, and there are 3 bedrooms. the sofa turns into a bed in some vans - i don't think the sun let you book for 8 people any more). my newborn baby was very cold.

fan heaters are safer than the gas fire i think. and if you pay for electricity per night it doesn't matter how much you use! i think some parks have meters though, are they pontins parks? so you might not want to use a hungry heater there. it's cheaper than upgrading though, what else do you get with an upgrade, just a microwave and a bit of extra floor space?
