Manchester Airport liquid rules?

We flew from T2 in late April and IIRC we were able to leave all our liquids and electronics in our hand luggage.
We will be using T1 and T3 later this year, does anyone know if they have similar rules?

Sure T1 did in February. Be confusing if terminals within the same airport had different rules so they standardise it. Check their website.

Cant speak for T3, not used it since before Covid.

Website says <<This clear plastic bag should be removed from your hand luggage and placed clearly in the tray provided>> which wasn't the case when we were there in April! 🙄

It's still transitional arrangements, so some channels will use the new machines and others still the old ones, so you need to be prepared for the lowest common denominator:

An airport spokesperson said: “New security technology is already in use across all three of Manchester Airport’s terminals, and the majority of passengers are screened with the new equipment.

“In accordance with Department for Transport guidance, passengers should continue to arrive at the airport prepared, and travel with liquids in containers no larger than 100ml in their hand baggage, unless advised otherwise.”

There are new scanners rolled out at Manchester Airport so some passengers may find they won’t need to remove their liquids or electronics from their bags.

But a number of old scanners are still in use - passengers won’t know which scanner they’ll pass through before they get there - so to avoid any delays and confusion, all passengers should follow the 100ml liquid rules.

On our last few travels through Manchester, we’ve not needed to take the liquids out of our hand luggage.  But I still pack everything into a clear plastic bag in readiness in case it’s necessary.  Invariably on our return journey, it’s the old system so liquids and gels need to be presented separately.
