DCB have sent me several letters re parking fine issued by Smart Parking Limited 25/04/2025
It was lockdown and I can't remember whether the machine wasn't working or I had no change or I paid ? .. it was outside a b and m shop and I do know if you paid the carpark fee you were re-embursed by b and m
Anyways I've paid no fine and now have a Claim form from Civil National Business centre
Claim is for £236.84 plus costs
Any help would be much appreciated

Remove that picture, redact the claim reference number, the password and the VRM details, and then repost it
Only ONE of the 4 things is redacted
Smart Parking, DCB LEGAL, issue date 27th August , Reason , insufficient paid time
I hope that you have completed the AOS online on MCOL, if not, get it done ASAP
Then you follow the advice I gave in the following thread
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6628796/smart-parking-dcb-legal-county-court-claim#latest
Plenty of examples in the threads coupon mad linked above too

With an issue date of 27/08/25 and providing you complete the AoS after 01/09/25 and before 15/09/25 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 29/09/25 1 -

You are probably doing something wrong, or not using a correct character, a common error
You login to your government gateway account, navigate to MCOL and input the claim reference number and password from the claim form

Why did you that without checking with us first? Email it otherwise it will be lost.
You don't post things snail mail to a massive Admin Centre shared with the Traffic Enforcement Centre. Papers get lost there.
And try again: please show us the Claim form with the same 4 things redacted that you see on all the other threads.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You mean 25/04/2020 don't you?
And why can't you use MCOL? Is it the usual mistake of reading a digit in the password wrong? Lower case 'l' (ell) read as capital I (eye) or O as 0?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
