Morning all, thanks @Scarlet for starting us off today. We had a fair bit of rain yesterday and, all in all, it was a miserable day. This morning it's bright and sunny but, once again, showers (some of them heavy and possibly with thunder) are forecast for after lunchtime. No prospect of things bucking up either for the foreseeable. Top temps today might get up to 16 deg. When I closed the curtains last night, I glanced at the clock and saw it was only just after 7 pm.
Today is the same old, same old, nothing exciting. I shortened one pair of PJ bottoms yesterday and will do the other pair today, then they can go in the WM. Even though they're new, I like to give them a wash before wearing. Tea tonight is chicken & mushroom supreme with rice.
@TA - Fingers crossed your boiler service doesn't throw up any problems. Like you, I'm making an early start on winter prep - a hot water bottle is next on the shopping list.
@Gers - Your techie patience is just amazing! My trousers are all black or navy too, apart from one pair of olive green. I'm resisting the tights so far but no doubt they'll be in use soon.
@mehefin - Commiserations on little cat's passing. And yes, take care with any heavy lifting, we oldies can't afford to be out of action!
@dp1 - I really hope your PIP application is successful after all your efforts at filling in the forms.
@Izzy - Enjoy the play tonight, I hope the performance is as good as the film.
Well, that's enough waffle from me so I'll wish everyone a good day. Take care, stay safe. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Afternoon all, late today. We have quite mixed weather, showers and sun and a bit chilly. I've been busy this morning and just realised I hadn't had any breakfast, so I'm eating my greek yogurt and berries now
. DH has just gone out to the butchers with DS1 - they sell nice pork pies as well and he is craving something different. He came out with me & Ldog for a slow walk around the block yesterday afternoon which went ok, he was pleased with himself. DS2 has asked if I can get DGS from school so DS1 will run me. He was out early on a job this morning but has just come home, he does come in useful sometimes
@dp1 yes we never stop worrying about them , do we ? Interesting that you have another feeding tube to deal with at school - you've certainly had plenty of practice, but glad LO is doing well. Good luck with the PIP.@Mehefin , sorry to hear about the little cat.Depending on what comes back from the butchers ,it's prob some form of chicken tonight. Enjoy the play Izzy.Take care all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)8 -
