CPS/TNC/CIS Claim

I parked in a carpark, and we did pay for our 2 x 2 hour timeslots. Only issue is trusting my missus to display the first, very small, payment ticket properly on the dash - it had slid behind the dash (between dash and window - it's an old car and dash has been dismantled in the past).
We do have the second payment ticket though but it was too late as we got ticketed in between (when we came back to renew for another 2 hours as we were staying out longer). We have the second payment ticket in hand but the first is now lost behind the dash (won't be getting that out!). However if there is CCTV and a record/ledger of the payment machine, there indeed will be a transaction that aligns with our arrival and standing at the machine.
This was early in the year - since then we've had CPS and TNC on our case and now we're at a CIS warning of 30 days before court action. Initially when we got the PCN I did try emailing enquiries@cps but the email was undelivered (surprise surprise) and didn't ring as it was a premium rate number. I thought, to hell with them and let it go to court as I have 'some' proof of payment, plus the PCN stated 3 images only - how can they 100% determine nothing was on display with just 3 images of my vehicle. I could still argue that the ticket was on display and there is no further proof beyond their 3 images to suggest otherwise. I can't remember if I even looked at the images
However I'm now wondering whether this was a prudent thing to do or to just wait for court action now and follow the advice in the newbie thread. I did take pics of their signage (which is poor as it usually is). As it seems to be generally stated that CPS/TNC/CIS don't seem to follow through - and that may be with people having not even paid for their parking. Since we have some proof, shall I just let this roll out until definitive court action?
Thanks.

Is it UKCPS of Leeds ?
I doubt that the other two can do anything
Just follow the newbies advice, respond to any Letter of Claim, then await a possible Money Claim N1SDT claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL to arrive in the post, then seek our help on this thread again0 -

Ignore TNC/CIS
Unlikely to get a court claim1 -

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.
I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.
Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.
