Parking fine at petrol station – grounds for appeal?

I've just received a parking fine from Horizon Parking for exceeding the 30 minute maximum stay at my local Asda petrol station. The Asda handles Amazon returns and I drove there to take numerous parcels for return. Due to the length it took staff to handle the returns (I think they were dealing with some IT issues) I was in there for around 45minutes.
Is this grounds for appeal? I was genuinely using the stores facilities and was only there for so long due to technical issues on their side.

It is private land and the advertised conditions do apply. The right thing to so is admit breaching the conditions and pay up0 -
Jopson case allows for unloading and loading, plus frustration of contract if the shop caused the delay
The OP should complain about it to Asda or the business or landlord or landowner and get it cancelled, especially if the delay was caused by them , beyond the drivers control
The sign clearly states that the driver should seek more time for the staff, so should have been rectified at the time3 -
Mark_d clearly missed this condition on the car park sign "Need longer? Just ask
If the customer service assistant was aware IT issues were causing delays she should have taken action without customer having to ask.

This will be easy for ASDA to cancel.
Nobody should pay unfair parking charges.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

OP - it's not your fault. It's also not a fine - it's some grubby scammers trying to tap you for some money.Since the sign has "ASDA" on it and you were at ASDA, your recourse is to go there and get them to cancel it on the basis they kept you waiting (but who knows - they might keep you waiting for another 30+ minutes!).4

Utter baloney: it's not a "fine" and that is certainly not the "right thing to do".5 -
