Shouldn't be that long:xriss_xriss said:hi all just wondering im wating for a paper statement from hsbc from my currency account they say up to 10 working days etc etcPaper statements take longer to arrive by post. Allow up to 5 working days for bank account statements or 9 working days for credit card statements.https://www.hsbc.co.uk/help/banking-made-easy/online-statements/
Statements are downloadable according to that page, or do different terms apply to their currency account?xriss_xriss said:you wold thing it would be downloadable0 -
HSBC statements are easy to obtain for most other accounts, but the currency account isn't listed amongst the others in the drop down selection box for some reason, nor is there anywhere to choose a preference between paper and online statements for it.

I only ever seem to have a paper statement in the post after some account movement, so for my circumstances it can be months at a time without seeing one e.g. the last one I received was back in April.1 -
It takes about 8 days for the mortgage statement to arrive.0

Yes, HSBC loves paper and post. HCA accounts can't be opted in to paperless statements as they run on a separate system from the regular GBP accounts.0

This seems to be the case. HSBC's non GBP accounts do not have any pdf statements, nor can you view transactions in the app, or go back more than one month online (I think). They only send a paper statement and even then only after some activity during the statement period, otherwise there are no paper statements either. I appreciate they use a "separate system" for their foreign currency accounts but I don't know why this should necessarily mean that they can't have downloadable and paperless options.0

If you knew the legacy back office systems and processes you'd understand...Given how heavily they promote the Global Money account which is on the new app platform, I suspect they will drop the HCA offering at some point. They are ceasing accepting foreign currency cheques from December, if they cease allowing cash note withdrawals and deposits that will be the nail in the coffin for HCA.
