I am planning for a solo trip to Portugal and Spain next month, flying from Liverpool. I have no idea how long should I spend in each place and where all to go! Something to keep in mind etc. Kindly suggest some places and duration I must spend. Thank you

Impossible to say from that - they're both sizable countries with plenty to see and do in many different locations, so much will depend on what your interests are, i.e. are you after beaches, nightlife, historical sites, architecture, high culture, etc, etc?1

Not enough info to go on really.
Where are you flying into?
Where are you flying back out of?
How long between flights?
Are you willing to drive between places or are you fully reliant on public transport?0 -
Spent 6 months in Spain and still have a long list of places I'd like to go to/do etc. Depends if your interests are the same as mine etcuklaw1 said:I am planning for a solo trip to Portugal and Spain next month, flying from Liverpool. I want to cover major historical spots and nice beaches. In Portugal I am flying to Porto, then cover Lisbon and go to Seville in Spain to Madrid to Barcelona. Then I will fly to Paris, Bruges and last stop Netherlands.eskbanker said:Impossible to say from that - they're both sizable countries with plenty to see and do in many different locations, so much will depend on what your interests are, i.e. are you after beaches, nightlife, historical sites, architecture, high culture, etc, etc?0 -

Sounds like you've already decided where to go, but have a very crowded itinerary in mind with no less than eight cities across five countries - even if you take all month that's a lot to fit in, given travel between them all, but how long are you allowing between the first flight to Porto and the one to Paris?uklaw1 said:

Five cities in eight days? Madness!uklaw1 said:

OK well Porto to Lisbon is easy, plentiful fast trains. How are you then getting to Seville? Train connections between Portugal and Spain are notoriously poor and not sure if thats a route anyone flies.uklaw1 said:

EDIT - seems only Ryanair do, every day in summer season except Thursdays. Times arent great for most of them.1 -
TAP flies several times a day from Lisbon to Seville.la531983 said:

Haha no no! 8 days just for Portugal and Spain. Another 8 for rest. Is it a bad idea to cover 5 cities in 8 days (Porto, Lisbon, Seville, Madrid and Barcelona)?eskbanker said:
