Good morning
Rain to start, sun now. DH is off to the GP for the results of his blood test. It's the review for his thyroid, so should be ok. No plan what I'm doing today. I was very productive yesterday, sorted out the fridge and freezer, and the store cupboard. Steak for tea tonight.
TA and Mehefin, thank you so much for the reassurances re. Cataract surgery. It wont stop me being a wuss, but good to know it's not too bad and worth it. And Mehefin, I think that's the right decision for the cat, sending hugs.
Have a good day all, take care.8 -
Good afternoon all, thanks @Gers for the start and a very Happy Birthday to @Coxy. After yesterday's glorious autumnal sunshine, we're back to changeable weather for today and probably the rest of the week too. So far we've had bright blue skies and sunshine, grey skies and a short downpour. No doubt more of the wet stuff to follow.
I managed to contact the GP surgery yesterday to find out why I've been asked to make an annual review appointment when I had one in July and they were baffled, especially as all the results were fine. Outcome - just ignore the message!
Grocery delivery arrived on time and all put away, with just one item for the freezer. I've made a decision to not buy anything else for the rest of the month (apart from milk) as I want to run the freezer down as much as I can in readiness for stocking up for you-know-when.It will be supplying me with some kind of fish for tea tonight.
I'm another one who was surprised at last night's Sewing Bee result, not expected at all. I wouldn't like to hazard a guess at who will win as they all have their different strengths and weaknesses and I imagine it will be down to not just sewing skills but how they interpret the brief. Who would have thought a sewing programme could be so popular?
This morning I road tested the heating for a short while to warm up the bathroom and all is well, apart from the on/off button on the timer control that's sticking so I'll have to report that. I can manage OK during the day and even the evenings for now, but an hour's heating in the mornings will now be a welcome part of the daily routine! All daily tasks done before I came on here so I have a free afternoon that I'll put to good use by shortening the new PJ bottoms.
@mehefin - Poor puss, her passing will be sad and I hope she doesn't linger too long. The main thing is she's comfortable and pain free.
Have a good day, hugs for the poorly ones, take care all. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.7 -
