Good Morning Everyone
Thanks for the start Gers.
Dry for now but there are some rather large black clouds on the horizon so not looking good for finishing off the school garden with the bark this morning!
Happy Birthday Coxy, have a great day.
Nothing to report apart from lots of work and lots of cleaning. The timing of the family gathering really couldn't have come at a worse time. Never mind, we'll get over it. Feeling a bit better this morning after a fairly decent night thank goodness.
Hope the holiday makers are having fun and the poorlies are feeling better. Take care. XX13 -
Morning GERS and all to follow. We had a lovely sunny start but sadly rain is on its way and, as we know, once it starts raining it doesn't know when to stop!
My garden tidying never got under way yesterday - no surprises there! I remembered I'd had some meds awaiting pick up since before my van jaunt and needed them before the tedious job of doing my dosset boxes. I'll pop down for those I thought, then start on the garden. But when I got back I cba so the job is still waiting. If the rain stops play today I should really defrost the tall freezer (in garage) before winter sets in and make a note of what is actually in there.
REMMIE I was like you as regards my cataracts, I have been squeamish about eyes for as long as I can remember and thoughts of the removal of the cataracts filled me with dread, I had put it off already for at least 2 years before I bit the bullet. As others said before me it is nowhere near as bad as you imagine.. The surgeon doing it was so nice, explaining what he was doing at each step and, surprisingly, I felt totally at ease!
Without giving anything away the evictee on the Sewing Bee last night was a total surprise! Looking forward the the final now.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Happy Birthday COXY, have a good one. Take care all be safe xx

Morning again - it was more difficult to get out of bed, colder and darker then even last week. The washing almost dried on the line yesterday, the day didn't turn out as lovely as Monday was, no sunshine with a slightly lazy breeze. I brought it in earlier than expected as the skies darkened and drops of rain appeared. Of course, once it was in the threat of rain vanished. I draped it around inside and it soon dried off properly. My meeting last night wasn't as tedious as I expected it to be, rather rewarding instead. This morning I'm going to take my dried bedding to the laundry for the chap there to iron it all on the big rollers. I've not had an iron for over 15 years, the only 'miss' is freshly ironed bedding so I've begun taking it across to the next village. The chap charges £1.00 an item for sheets and 50p for pillow cases - a real bargain for me. Today I'll be taking all my spare pillowcases too.I've broken out the winter tights! Only the medium weight ones for now, the proper wool ones are for later in the year. Yesterday I wore socks for the first time since May, which was odd, now the drop into accepting the change of season came to me. Jumpers need to be sorted out tomorrow. My lovely new pink wool jacket arrived on Monday and I'm thrilled with it. Now I have to find some kind of silky top for underneath, I'm edging towards something white.Happy Birthday to @Coxy - I hope that your day is filled with cake, fizz and fabulous presents. Hugs all round!15

Morning all from Mehefinland
Bucketing down here at the moment, but was bright sun when I went to do the horses. Just a little wet by the time I got home. Little black cat is on the way out, not eating and just lying in her basket. I know some would say take her to the vet, but she is semi feral, has never been picked up whilst I have been adopted, and I expect the stress of it all would kill her off anyway. She can pass quietly where she is comfortable.
Off to the Foodshare later - it's always a lottery but makes me feel a bit virtuous keeping stuff out of landfill. Have had some exceptional items on occasions.
Painting of Mehefin towers is on pause - ran out of paint!! And it's not painting weather. My little brother works for Bee & Cue and can get a staff discount so I shall have a quiet word with him .
Another one here in praise of cataract removal - well worth having them done.
Hugs and spoons as always

Good morning, thanks Gers- enjoy your freshly ironed sheets !Happy Birthday @Coxy11, enjoy your day out and dinner.Glad you're feeling a bit better @camelot1001Looks like rain now, I did my morning dog walk early when it was sunny.DH had his dressing off his knee yesterday so today he's put long trackies on as he's complaining about the cold.It is quite breezy out.I might make a cottage pie for tea, don't know when DS1 will be home so it can just be reheated when he gets in.The DGC have made a positive start to the new term, which is good as DGS is now at high school, and says it's more interesting, and DGD, who has had some difficulties previously with bullying etc. has been getting positive postcards sent from teachers. I sent her a message last night after DS2 had shown me on his phone, and she is trying her best now, she says. Long may it lastHope you all have a good day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)10

Morning everyone
Happy Birthday Coxy x
It's forecast to be a nice day here until teatime. so I've put my bedding in to wash. Gers that seems very cheap to get bedding ironed.
I'll get some garden tidying done this afternoon - the grass was cut yesterday, probably the last one this year I expect.
No work for me today so I'll go down to mam and dads this morning then for my shopping. I got some more of the Pip forms done yesterday, I can only write for about half an hour before my hand becomes too painful. I saw little one when she was out playing yesterday afternoon - she was full of beans and excited for their swimming lesson today.
We have a little boy started at nursery with a feeding tube so that's my job just now - I'll teach the others how to do it. It feels strange doing it for someone other than little one.
Right best get on ...hope everyone has a good day x
Pleased to hear your grand children have settled back at school Rosyred - it's always a worry. I worried about little one having a new teacher and there's only 30 children in our village school and I can see her out of nursery window!
