Staircasing seller failed to update land registry help

Vendor has failed to update land registry after staircasing from 50% to 100% - so now I am as a buyer waiting for them to update this before moving forwards - how long is this expected to take - other side of Christmas?   England

Given that you're currently paying for legal advice, I think that is a perfect question for your solicitor, they'll also know how far you are into the process.

As a sale is dependent on the registry being updated, the sellers solicitor can apply to Land Registry for the update to be expedited. It should then take 2 weeks, depending on the paperwork being in order.

As silvercar posts expedition is an option here. Expedition gets the case to the processing start line generally within 10 days of expedition being approved. How long the actual race is then depends on the quality of the application and whether more is needed before the register can be updated
Make sure that the conveyancer has lodged the application and then requested expedition separately - they/your conveyancer can then track progress
