Tariffs for EV and solar (no gas)

Hi All,
I've just got myself an EV and home charger port and will be getting a heat pump and solar panels installed later this month. I have an induction cooker and I'm pretty sure I wont have anything that relies on gas by the end of this month. Can I do away with a gas tariff entirely and lose the standing charge?
Also, are there any good comparison sites for EV tariffs?

Thank you :)

Octopus are your best bet for the variety of tariffs they offer. They will also remove your gas meter and cap the supply free of charge.

Octopus also seem to be one of he easiest to deal with for export, the calculations appear on your monthly bill with your import and are credited each month. Some other suppliers make you jump through hoops to get it all set up and only credit you quarterly or 6 monthly.

Thanks for the responses. I've crunched some numbers and Octopus doesn't really work for us. Would cost more than being on a standard, fixed rate tariff as we use a lot of energy during the day. We use tons of electricity, me and my partner work from home and we have 2 young kids. We also have a heat pump and an EV (but we dont drive that much).
I'm currently with Fuse enefrgy as their EV tariff actually works really well for us (the two prices are closer together so we dont get hit by high cost during the day). What I'm looking for as a way to remove the standing charge for my gas. Apparently, full disconnectrion by Centrica costs about £1500...

Have you looked at the Octopus Cosy tariff? It's for heat pump users.

That's a shame. Cosy Octopus (their heat pump tariff) works out cheaper for most people. Octopus also pay much better for solar energy export than Fuse.

Octopus will disconnect you for free.

  • I don't have solar which will change the sums, but as a high day rate user EDF GoElectric has consistently been the cheapest option for me as the day rate doesn't usually charge much of a premium vs single rate fixed tariffs.

Eon Next Drive's longer overnight cheap rate may work better if you lower the heat pump temp overnight as it would give you til 7am to raise the house temp back up at cheap rate.

EDF's heat pump tariff has no peak pricing vs Octopus cosy but only 3 hours overnight charging window for ev which may be challenging. Eon's Next Pump tariff may work better with an ev but does have a peak rate premium.

You don't mention a battery as part of the solar install.

No good EV tariff comparison sites that I've found, best source of options is https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilities/ev-energy-tariffs/ and a spreadsheet.
