How do you find out who the event organisers are for a concert tour

I have bought tickets to see a the same concert on 2 different nights.

I may as well just admit that it is Barry Manilow so I expect some unkind remarks (I've been getting them for nearly 40years so I'm used to it)

Does anyone know how you can find out who the tour organisers are? Ive asked the venue but they say they dont know and I cant find the answer on the ticket site,

I get wheelchair seats for my hubby now and have purchased them for 2 venues.

Venue 1 price is £34 but venue 2 price is £178. Both are in similar positions in the respective arenas.

I know you accept the price when you buy so I'm not complaining about that, but, Im trying to understand the price discrepancy between the venues.

The wheelchair tickets which were £178 are directly behind a row of seats which are priced at nearly £100 less so I'm wondering why the big mark up on the wheelchair seats. I've booked wheelchair seats for years at various venues and they have never had an excessive price compared to other seats around them. The seats in front are cheaper than the seats behind which doesnt make sense really.

I asked the venue why the wheelchair seats were almost £100 more than the seats in front of them and the reply was that the tour organisers set the prices.

I would have thought the tour organisers would have a similar set of fees for each of the 6 venues so so why one venue is £144 more expensive than the other is a mystery and I'm just trying to find out why (not that its going to change anything, Im just niggled).

Might be down to popularity of one venue over another?  More fans around there or more easily able to access it?

I'm concerned if the wheelchair seats were excessively more than the standard seats nearby - that sounds like discrimination against those who are disabled.  Granted I do know that some people will buy w/c seats if the good able bodied seats are no longer available.  (one brother started taking our dad to concerts for this very reason).

Maybe complain directly to Barry??  Afterall a man who sings his TV ads in concert must be one of the good guys.

Thanks Brie. Its sold out practically on the first day so its not down to venue popularity, The difference is between Leeds and Liverpool so both comparable in terms of size and city centre.

You cant get wheelchair seats now without jumping through hoops (rightly) and needing proof of disability.

Just annoying that the seats in front of us are cheaper. Complained to the venue but they blame the organisers.

I'd suggest contacting the local papers about how the venues are discriminating.  It's bound to get some interest.

Or contact the fan club?  Barry Manilow : Contact

Thanks Brie. Im not in the fan club now, they charge horrific prices for seats and always have done. They are cheaper from the likes of Ticketmaster but I will email them and see what happens.

I'm not  sure the papers would care as the venues say it is not them that set the pricing so they have no responsibility.

It's a great photo opportunity though for a paper.  You and hubby looking sad because of the discriminatory costs of wheelchair seating!!  They might even get Barry to give an official comment!!!

    Good luck with it!!!

£34 sounds a bargain; almost worth becoming a Barry fan for that sort of ticket price!
