Card reader for crashed pc

HP laptop crashed. I need to get at some docs on the SSD. I am looking for a compatible reader with USB. The card is from an old(ish) pc. The card is KIOXIA CVB-8D128-HP. Any pointers appreciated

I googled that card number and found https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/396661102231

So Google < SATA M2 usb > reader  to find suitable devices ?
Then do due diligence via user reviews of them.

The laptop may have crashed due to the SSD failing.  Data may be irrecoverable.  That's why one has backups.

Loved this part of the eBay listing of the SSD
Its sleek green design adds a stylish touch to any system it is installed in.
As if the colour of the thing has played a part when choosing internal laptop storage, ever.

If the SSD has failed then you may not be able to recover anything.

SSD enclosures are available on the main online selling sites, looks like you need an SATA M2 compatible type, do double check that though!

If you have a computer shop nearby it might be best to see what they can do first.

I'm sure that you are far too adult to gloat, but enjoy the moment anyways 😁

I'm pretty sure that listing was written by AI. They're becoming more common, and are fairly easy to spot; there's a rhythym to them.

Yes that was my thought too, don't think a human would have it in them to be lyrical about an SSD.
