Apple iPhone Battery legal case / group action

Just seen this ad on instagram regarding a group legal claim for the battery issue that affected the iPhone 6 and SE.
I’m fairly sure I did own both of these but not sure about putting my details into this website? Does anybody know if it is a legitimate website regarding this?

Please apply some common sense...
As this is a consumer rights forum, if you DID own this phone and DID have a problem with the battery, then at the time of ownership you could have raised a claim with the retailer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for the phone not being fit for purpose. Your refund would have been reduced to reflect the amount of use you had, or they could have offered you a replacement or repair.
Did you take up any issues with the retailer with this phone that you might have owned?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1 -
I think we are at the point where someone saying "I read this on Facebook/Instagram/X/TikTok" and believing what they read should pretty much instantly disqualify them from being deemed competent.8

I owned both, in fact I still have the SE
Not doing anything about. It as the only ones to benefit from it are the lawyers as usual1 -
Like you, I was very sceptical, so googled around. Seems it is genuine. There was an article on sky news in 2023 https://news.sky.com/story/owned-an-older-iphone-you-could-get-a-payout-from-uk-lawsuit-which-claims-devices-were-throttled-12998076
And another on the BBC dated 2024 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-67911517
It seems it's still ongoing.
Consumer voice is a legit organisation.2 -
I was about to say the same- there was certainly a bit of a bru-ha-ha about it a while back. I remember the story because I had an iphone 6 that died of battery failure.0

Could.
You probably won't, but you could.
And if you did, it won't be enough to pay for a new phone. It probably won't be enough to pay for a new phone case.0
