  • Just a quick update - the parcel got scanned back into the system on Monday after being missing for three weeks and was returned yesterday , The tracking says " Incorrectly addressed. Returned to sender"
but when it was returned the original labels were still attach with the correct address . Received negative feedback and a strike against my sellers account ..

Are you sure the address on the label is the same as the address provided by EBay?
If it is contact ebay and tell them the parcel was sent to the address provided but was undeliverable.

Yes the same address as registered with Ebay , will email them and see what they say .. The buyer is still making threats of legal action even though I sent him all the screenshots , tracking information and been in contact nearly every day for 3 weeks with updates - he is angry as he wanted a  refund 4 days after the parcel was sent and I asked him to hold on for a few more days to see if it turned up .

    Hello,

I have just read through your topic.

I don’t really have anything new to add, but I just wanted to say that I think it’s great that you have been communicating with the buyer the entire time on this issue, even though they don’t seem to appreciate it. I think that it really says a lot about you.

Reading on your issue reminded me a bit of a small conflict I’ve had as a buyer with an eBay seller earlier this year, although it’s not entirely related to your issue. I had purchased an inexpensive item from this seller, but I never received it even though tracking stated that it had been delivered. I then decided to file a missing mail search request with the shipping courier to see if they could locate the item, but 2 weeks later and the item still wasn’t found. As a last resort, I decided to contact the seller and explain that I had never received the item even though tracking showed it as delivered, and I also explained that I filed the search request. I then requested a replacement of the item or a refund. The seller only responded by stating that tracking showed the item as delivered and then completely ignored my messages afterwards. Needless to say, I wasn’t very happy in the least. If he had remained in contact with me as you have done with your buyer and perhaps offered some form of compensation after a certain period of time had passed, I would have been more than happy to comply and wait, and at least then I would have been made aware that I would eventually receive something back.

So yeah, I think that it is great that you remain in touch with your buyers. Good luck on getting the negative feedback and strike removed. Hopefully, eBay will side with you once they hear the entire story.
