Manchester airport drop off

Can anyone advise me about a parking fine at Manchester airport drop off.
I dropped a friend off recently, but it has been a while since I've been. Last time you paid at the exit so I went to do that but it wasn't there anymore and so I had to go round again to pay, which I did using the online pay.. I've now been charged for the first initial time I was there, even though I was there both times put together within the time allowed. Should I just pay the fine?- I've got two weeks to do so.

Of course you dont pay. Why would you even want to? And it isnt a fine....
Use the set text on the main airport drop-off thread and appeal as the keeper. No waffle about what happened on the day.

    Definitely not

Looks like you have not read recent Manchester Airport threads like this recent one

Its not a fine either,  just an invoice,  same as hundreds of other victims there

  • Iv'e signed the petition and written to my MP.It's not just airport drop off charges that are a problem though, it's these parking companies that are the issue really. Thanks for the advice :)

Many have known for years the route cause of the problem is the parking companies. Have you missed all the reports in the media and posts on here? The latest Govt Parking CoP Consultation survey is still open. It's your opportunity to tell Govt your views.

As do the DVLA but they still merrily sell millions of motorists data year after year with no due diligence to these rogue operators (Hansard)

    Yep.

Which is why I've been on the Government Steering Group trying to get the new statutory regime over the line for 5 years. All the regulars here have contributed evidence to every consultation & Call for Evidence since 2020. We are fighting at the highest level for fair treatment of motorists.

Please join us. This current one is vital because they have the monetary caps hopelessly wrong: FIGHTBACK ALERT:

    THE DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED

Please do the government's Public Consultation. We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline.

    See this thread:

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.

I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.

Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.

    CLOSES ON FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER
