S Power issues

Hi All,
Help please
Moved into my new home (as owner) in mid June, phoned Scot Power that day to close old account and set up new one. In a nutshell, was old a few weeks later that due to a Scot Power error I had to start again and set up a new account (new acct no.) all over again. Then was later told that hadn't worked either, more errors they said. I opened a complaint. Still no progress from June to September (!) and now they keep asking me for a tenancy agreement (I'm the owner as I've repeatedly informed them, and there were not tenants here previously, it was a probate property). As I've now repeatedly confirmed I'm not a tenant, they're asking me to prove that I own my house, saying that otherwise they cannot progress the complaint. Is this normal??
Grateful for any help.

Was SP the supplier to the property when you bought it ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Is this normal ?For the idiots at SP CS anything is covered by "normal"You need to simply push the complaint, they cannot refuse your complaint, doing so is a complaint in itself. As they are not willing to progress the complaint tell them to send you a deadlock letter so you can progress your complaint directly to the ombudsman without any further delay.1

That’s SP for you, but did you keep the opening meter read when you took ownership of the property, you will need that too going forward.
Make sure it’s SP that supplies you https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/information-consumers/energy-advice-households/finding-your-energy-supplier-or-network-operator4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . When will these companies learn!0 -
You need to set up an account with the energy company that was already supplying the house you bought, details should have been given to you by your conveyancer. Once the account is set up you are free to transfer to a supplier of your choice.
