PCN despite paying!

Hello guys below is my appeal for a pcn city of london gave me. I had paid for 45 mins and then went about my business thinking i could extend it if i needed longer. afterall the sign says 4 hours max stay no return within 1 hour.

However it would not let me extend my stay on the ring app when my existing session was expiring

city of london rejected my appeal saying once your current session you cannot extend your stay. but this seems more a technical issue that they haven’t incorporated into the ring system rather then what the rule should be. if you can stay a max 4 hours then you should have the option to extend your stay up to the maximum time that’s allowed regardless if you do it in one go or in separate sessions. If there was a machine there then someone could have easily printed out different tickets up to a max 4 hours and that would have been fine.

i have felt this for a long time that the enforcement of this area regards max stay and having to do it all in 1 session has been wrong and nothing has been done about it.

It doesn’t state anywhere that you can’t extend your session after you pick the initial duration of stay (45 mins in my case) surely people need to be informed about this. Otherwise like me they can go far from there vehicle under the false impression that they can extend there stay up to 4 hours without receiving any pcn

ive attached my appeal to city of london and then there response

i really don’t feel give paying this pcn because i feel it’s just plain wrong.

any advice or help would be appreciated thank you

You'll not win that argument, just my opinion.

You rant is not really an appeal.

To be fair you really need to rewrite that. Its not an appeal, its more like a letter of complaint but badly written.
You need proper  sentences, punctuation, capital letters and for it to make sense.

This doesn't appear to be a private parking charge notice,  so I suggest that you post your query over on the FTLA parking forum website after reading their posting requirements first,  they deal with non private parking cases so might be able to help
