I thought I'd posted this yesterday, but I work in the CS and team sizes are irrelevant to grade and there is much inconsistency.
I have a team of 5 manage a multi million portfolio, yet a colleague of the same grade may have no Line manager responsibilities and have more of a supportive role within a portfolio. But we'd still be paid the same.
Depending on their age and time in post it's entirely possibly the other person earns more than me.
My role is an SEO but I would not be considered a senior manager

Personally I would wait until you have been there a year and are able to demonstrate how well you have coped with the extra responsibility. As a manager I'd want to see some evidence of your ability before giving you a pay rise or promotion.

Nobody here can answer this because nobody here knows what you are doing at work or how valuable you are. You should have a copy of your job description and check whether the things that you are doing are on there including direct reports. If you are doing things that are above your pay grade you can explain this. Before any of those changes were made you should have insisted on a payrise as part of the changes but if this is all done now I don't think they will bother listening to you. You are not entitled to any promotions or payrises at work. If a company wants to keep you at the same pay forever they are fully allowed to. It is up to you to ask for it and a big part of the asking is LEAVING if they do not comply. If you are merely asking but stay anyway they are not going to care too much about what you want or not. If they are giving you more people it obviously means they have liked what they saw but that really does not mean much either. Promotions and payrises are not about merit, they are about whether you are leaving the business and it sounds like you merely feel like you deserve more money but that's about it so you're in the same boat as just about anyone else in the workforce.

You have been there a short time and have been told you are at the top of the pay scale. Is that because they paid you at the top rate to attract you.? What is the Low/high of your grade?
