Financial Investor and Loan Provider on Facebook

my colleague was deeply involved with this on facebook and hoping to get a loan, he was will to fly to meet them. I am not allowed to post the link, but if you go to facebook and type in the search
Financial Investor and Loan Provider
it comes up under "pages"
They sent him a video of a consignment of cash that had just arrived, I noticed that the first two notes on one of the stacks of money had identical serial numbers to the first two notes on the other stack of money, suggesting that it was fake money
Surely this is a scam, any thoughts on how it would work?

It's probably an advance fee fraud: they'll ask for a fee before they (don't) send the money. Most definitely do not meet with them in person. It could turn into a robbery and/or kidnapping.4

Clearly it is a scam because you mentioned facebook and something to do with finances. A video of a consignment of cash is meaningless. How it works is the scammer convinces your colleague he will receive some money and convinces him to do something up front to enable the transaction to happen, but he will not receive any money. It is not rocket science.3

Adverts on Facebook are probably the worst resource anyone could use for financial productssavoytruffle said:Surely this is a scam1

I ignore averts on social media, especially where anything to do with money is concerned.
My be you should have that person read this:

How many alarm bells are needed for this person to realise it is a scam?
