Alliance parking notice to keeper- wrong registration

Hi all,
I received a notice to keeper from Alliancr Parking at Harlyn Bay car park. I think I had probably entered the registration no. Wrong as it was a new car.
I paid for 6 hours or only stayed for just over 1 hour.
I followed their appeals process and provided bank statement that shows I had paid them but have heard nothing back.

Any suggestions on next steps?
Should I just pay it?
Thanks

Absolutely NO PAYING, and in future never use an Alliance car park. Horrible firm, IMHO based on all accounts here.

    How did you appeal, online?

    How long ago?

But did you tell them the reg of the other car to help them see it was a keying error?

"think I had probably entered the registration no. Wrong as it was a new car."

I would read that as OP is unsure what registration number they actually entered.
  • Thanks both. Sorry I didn't get a notification of your comment.
No, argh I could have advised them of the Registration I entered but didn't think of that.
Yes I appealed on their website.

If I dont pay, will it go to court?

    Sorry, newbie questions.

Even if they file a court claim it doesn't mean it will go all the way to a hearing many are discontinue before the hearing fee payment date. See Umkomaas thread and read the NEWBIES Announcement thread.

I can't find much evidence of Alliance ever making a court claim.
Kevin McManus's approach seems to be one of zero tolerance and just issuing as many dubious tickets as possible and making his money that way rather than with faffing with court.

Well you should NOW politely add that VRM and evidence (pic of V5C to prove that it is your family's car) and say you were wondering why Alliance hadn't replied to your appeal and realise that they might need this extra info to respond and offer the £20 keying error settlement.

If you can't now do this on the appeals portal you wallop it in as a complaint.

Thanks for the advice. Was about to reply when got the decision back from the appeal.
As expected (disappointingly) it wss declined and states that it is the drivers responsibility to enter the registration correctly.
I am annoyed as I have paid for a ticket and sent them my bank statement to prove it.
Shall I just ignore them now or should I try to pay it?
Thanks for all the advice, really appreciate it!

"Pay it"? What are you talking about, LOL?!

Show us their rejection letter because it sounds like they KNOW from your appeal that it was a keying error, and didn't offer to settle at £20.

That's showing the world your name, address and numberplate. Here's a redacted version:

Well you will never be paying this notorious ex-wheelclamper any of your hard-earned money so you may as well cost them money by running the evidence by the 'kangaroo court' of the IAS so we can laugh at the IAS 'decision' and add it to this thread:

    But FIRST: URGENT FIGHTBACK ALERT:

Please do the government's Public Consultation. We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline next week.

    See this thread:

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.

I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.

Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam over 18 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.

    CLOSES ON FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER.
